Contaminated wastes intended for permanent removal from the biosphere are deposited at two underground deposits, long-term-safe and maintenance-free. 

For underground reutilisation, we use the deposits’ material qualities for permanent back-filling of appropriate underground caverns. 

The K+S Baustoffrecycling GmbH reutilises uncontaminated and marginally contaminated construction and demolition wastes, for recultivating a potash tailings pile near Hanover.
