Disposal methods

K+S Entsorgung GmbH uses a variety of methods for the under- ground disposal of wastes, and offers a range of services for the secondary aluminium industry.

Underground waste disposal

At our underground waste disposal plants we dispose of wastes requiring long-term removal from the bio- sphere, due to their pol- lutant concentration.

Salt slag processing

We provide salt fluxes to the secondary alu- minium industry. At our REKAL-plant we recycle salt slags, and recover raw materials.

Underground reutilisation

In underground reutili- sation, wastes replace other building materials in securing long-term safety of certain cav- erns. For this task, dust- shaped and marginally contaminated wastes are particularly suited.
