Acceptance criteria

We dispose of a great range of wastes, as long as these comply with our acceptance criteria.

All wastes are subject to single-substance testing. We shall be glad to propose a solution for your waste.

To be accepted for underground waste disposal or reutilisation, wastes may not be 

  • radioactive, 
  • liquid, 
  • infectious, 
  • malodorous or 
  • biodegradable.

For undergound disposal the wastes heating value may not exceed 6,000 kJ/kg.

Under deposit conditions there may be no reactions of the waste with itself or with the rock that cause 

  • an expansion of the volume, 
  • the formation of auto-flammable, toxic or explosive substances or gases or
  • other dangerous reactions.

Under deposit conditions the wastes may not be explosive, highly flammable, or easily flammable.
