Safety  more

  • Our services are based on the salt and potash mines of the K+S group.
  • Rock salt mining creates caverns at a depth of up to several hundred metres. The caverns are sealed by water-impermeable rock layers, and have no contact with the biosphere.
  • Mine sectors, in which salt is no longer mined, offer ideal conditions for the long-term-safe disposal of hazardous wastes.
  • For long-term-safe disposal solutions, natural geological barriers are supplemented by technical barrieres and exceedingly high safety standards for handling wastes.
